Do I need a building permit?
It depends on local rules. If it concerns a short-term project, it might not be required. Our advice is to always check this with your local government. Spantech can provide technical specification, drawings and structural engineering documents to support you filling the building permit. In most countries it is also possible to apply for a temporary building permit which is a faster process.
Can Spantech structures be rented?
Yes, Spantech offers its products for purchase, as a short and long-term rental or they can be leased. Spantech’s rental fleet has many different structure sizes and building accessories. We can mobilize our rental fleet within days for urgent projects.
Can I expand my warehouse later?
Yes, and we handle the entire permitting process for you. Our team has extensive experience with local regulations across Europe and will manage all required documentation. In many cases, temporary structures have simplified permitting procedures.
What if I need heating, lighting, or special equipment?
No problem. We offer tailored solutions, including lighting, heating, HVAC, and other technical options.
Does a tent structure require a foundation?
Spantech structures can be built on almost any surface. A foundation is not always necessary. We offer various solutions for anchoring such as pegs, screw anchors, chemical anchors and pre-cast anchor plates. So, whether you plan to install the structure on compacted soil, an existing parking lot or you plan to use a ring beam foundation, Spantech can advise you on the best anchoring solution for your project.

Are Spantech structures durable?
Yes, our structures are very durable. The high-quality alloy aluminum frame and hot-dip galvanized steel connection parts have a lifespan of over 50 years. The fabric roof is a so-called ‘technical textile’ that is coated with PVC and an extra protective layer against mould and UV. This material has a lifespan of 20 to 25 years.
Is a tent structure an ecological, environment-friendly solution?
Yes, it is. Our structures are 100% dismountable and relocatable. Most structures, therefore, have a second, third, fourth or even more lives. The fabric roofs are recycled after their lifespan and the frame has a lifespan of over 50 years. Did you know that +40% of our aluminum used, is made from recycled material, resulting in a significantly lower embodied carbon footprint compared to traditional construction. Besides that, we also pre-assemble most parts in our factory to reduce the installation time-on-site, and therefore the CO2 emission. In addition, our structures are designed to optimize transport volumes.
