CO₂ Ladder

Introduction

The CO₂ Performance Ladder is an initiative of the SKAO (Foundation for Climate-Friendly Procurement & Business) and was created to encourage companies to act (more) CO₂-consciously.

The ladder is an effective tool for making gains in various areas in our operations and in realising projects. Especially in the areas of efficient use of materials, energy conservation and use of renewable energy.

The realisation that, as an organisation, we can and want to contribute to a cleaner environment and a healthier living environment is alive and well within Spantech. This shared responsibility ensures various efforts and activities in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship.

Our Pillars

Our CO₂ Performance Ladder is based on the following Pillars.

Pillar A: Insight

Spantech has formulated effective objectives and measures to reduce CO₂ emissions. The GHG report provides, among other things, insight into the energy consumption and CO₂ emission.

Pillar B: Reduction

The carbon footprint (CO₂ emissions), the targets set and the extent to which they are achieved are mapped out in the progress report (document 3B 1).
The results relating to our first reporting and base year can be found in document 3B1.

Pillar C: Transparency

Spantech highly values transparency so also when it comes to its energy policy and CO₂ reduction policy. More information can be found in the communication plan (document 3C2). Additional information can be found on the SKAO website via the link below

Pillar D: Cooperation

Spantech exchanges energy reduction knowledge and experience with its stakeholders. By implementing the CO₂-Performance Ladder (as far as greenhouse gases are concerned), Spantech aims to continuously improve its overall environmental impact. The CO₂ reduction initiatives in which Spantech participates can be found in document 3D1 ( hyperlink 4 ).
