At Spantech, building has never just been about speed and efficiency. We believe the future of our industry is modular, flexible — and sustainable. With great pride, we can now formally demonstrate that commitment: since March 2025, we’ve been certified at Level 4 of the CO₂ Performance Ladder.
This is an important recognition, but more than that, it confirms a path we’ve already been on for years: building with less impact, and more responsibility.

The CO₂ Performance Ladder is an independent system that challenges companies to not only measure their emissions, but also actively reduce them. Level 4 means we look beyond our direct emissions (think electricity and fuel use) and also take action on emissions throughout our value chain. That includes raw materials, logistics, and production partners.
So it’s not just about internal optimisation, but about collaboration, transparency and action across the board.

We’ve set ambitious reduction targets. By 2027, we aim to reduce emissions from our own energy use by 7%, and emissions from electricity and business travel by 97%. We’re also working on reducing supply chain emissions — currently set at 1% — knowing real impact there requires engagement across our ecosystem.
In practice, this has already led to a switch to green electricity, solar panel installations, more accurate tracking of our energy consumption, inclusion of welding gases and propane in our footprint, and more country-specific emission factors.

What matters to us is being able to show what we do. Not through slogans, but with facts, reports, and verifiable data. We publish our goals and results publicly on our website and on the SKAO platform, and we report on progress every six months.
Internally, we keep everyone informed and involved. From newsletters to dashboards to team briefings, we make sure sustainability is a shared story.

We know we can only go so far on our own. That’s why we also engage in industry-wide initiatives. We co-authored a white paper with Surreal on the climate impact of modular structures. And we shared our insights at Green Tech Day in Berlin and BusNow in Los Angeles.
Not for show, but to contribute.
More and more clients are looking for partners who can deliver fast — but also responsibly. With our Level 4 certification, we can back that up with data.
We provide CO₂ reporting per project, insight into the environmental impact of material choices, and support in public tenders where sustainability is a deciding factor. We’re constantly working to improve our structures in terms of circularity, energy performance, and reusability.
Level 4 is not the finish line. It confirms we’re on the right track — and that we intend to stay on it. Less emissions, more insight, more collaboration. That’s what we’re building at Spantech.

At Spantech, we believe every event deserves a structure that matches its ambition. That is why we are proud to introduce two of our most spectacular event designs to date: the High Polygonal and the Grand Cathedral. Both are created to elevate concerts, festivals, and large-scale events with unmatched scale, flexibility, and visual presence. The High Polygonal: […]
Sabena Engineering has officially opened a brand-new 6,000 m² MRO hangar at Brussels Airport, delivered by Spantech in just four months of on-site construction — and in ten months total, including permitting, design, manufacturing, and site preparation. Designed for both military and civil aviation, the hangar will support the Belgian-Luxembourg A400M transport fleet and expand Sabena’s […]
When designing an aircraft hangar, one of the most important decisions you’ll make is selecting the right door system. Whether you’re building a hangar for narrow-body or wide-body aircraft, the door type directly impacts the building’s usability, performance, and long-term efficiency. At Spantech, we combine deep industry expertise with innovative modular construction to deliver turnkey […]
