Orangery at ABN AMRO Open

Orangery at ABN AMRO Open

For the 51st edition of the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam, Michelin-starred chefs Fred Mustert and Mario Ridder envisioned a distinctive culinary experience that could match the excitement of world-class tennis. They teamed up with Ahoy Rotterdam, event styling company Van Der Maarel and Spantech to transform this vision into reality. The result was a magnificent Orangery designed for a pop-up restaurant that offered guests an exceptional dining experience during the high-profile tennis tournament.

A Culinary Orangery

The concept involved constructing an elegant glass structure that emulated the classic style of a Parisian orangery. Spantech’s challenge was not only to ensure the structure’s aesthetic alignment with the chefs’ vision but also to guarantee its functionality and comfort during the event. Van Der Maarel outfitted the Orangery with luxurious velour-seated chairs and sophisticated decor, providing a plush and inviting atmosphere that allowed the guests to enjoy the finesse of Fred & Mario’s dishes.

Outcome

The pop-up restaurant was a resounding success, garnering positive feedback from guests for its unique dining experience that perfectly combined taste, luxury, and the thrill of tennis. The Orangery not only enhanced the culinary aspect of the tournament but also elevated the overall ambiance, making it a highlight of the ABN AMRO Open. Chefs Fred and Mario delivered an unforgettable gastronomic experience, while Spantech demonstrated its expertise in turning their ambitious concept into reality at the Ahoy Rotterdam.
